A Great Way to Finish the year

The boys continued to compete at a high level for the month of December competing in 6 GNML games as well as the Waterloo Golden Puck Tournament compiling an 8-1-1 record.

With a mix of consistent offensive output and strong play from our goaltenders and defenseman (59 goals for the month and 11 goals against in the past 8 games), the boys have had balanced and timely efforts to put themselves in a great position to finish the regular season.

Great performances were put forward by:

Jordan Delaurier

Congratulations to Jordan Delaurier, presently with the Abitibi Eskimos, for his selection to the CJHL Prospects Games held in Langley, British Columbia on November 12-13. Jordan took full advantage of his opportunity in front of a bevy of pro-scouts that attended the event scoring a goal in the second game of the series. Congrats and continue success.

Mathieu Verreult

Congratulations to Mathieu Verreualt who has joined the Tri-Town Thunder of Prairie Junior Hockey League. In his first start with the Thunder, Matt made 26 saves to backstop his team to win over the present league leaders. Even more astounding considering prior to Matt’s start they had given up 9 goals against in the previous 2 games played against the Storm. Best of luck Matt and I know the future will continue to be bright.

Eric Proulx

Congratulations to former captain Eric Proulx who has become a member of Les Coyotes de la Cité Collégiale. The team has a had a huge reversal in there success and there is no doubt that Eric has had a big part in that resurgence. Eric was a key member the Flyer program in the past few seasons contributing to its success both on and off the ice. Your efforts were greatly appreciated and we wish you good luck in all your endeavours
